Fees And Funding February 2018

The fee for all children is £4.00 per hour. Fees are payable at the start of each term, and no refunds are given if a child leaves or is absent during the half term. If your child is staying for a lunch time session you must provide them with a packed lunch in a named container, we as a Pre-School encourage a balanced diet and healthy eating.

Early years settings are required to share information regarding children that access Early Years Education Funding.  This will be completed annually during census week. Please see the privacy notice below:

We Newton Flotman Preschool are the Data Controller for the purposes of the Data Protection Act.  We collect information from you, and may receive information about you from your previous Early Years setting. We hold this personal data and use it to:

       ·         support teaching and learning;

·         monitor and report on progress;

·         provide appropriate pastoral care

·         assess how well the setting as a whole is doing.

This data includes your contact details, relevant assessment results, attendance information, characteristics such as ethnic group, special educational needs and any relevant medical information. 

This data may only be used or passed on for specific purposes as allowed by law. From time to time the setting is required to pass on some of this data to local authority departments, including Children’s Services, the Department for Education (DFE), and to agencies that are prescribed by law, such as the Qualifications and Curriculum Development Agency (QCDA), Ofsted, the Department of Health (DH), Primary Care Trusts (PCT), The Learning Records Service, or any successor bodies.  All these are data controllers in respect of the data they receive, and are subject to the same legal constraints in how they deal with the data.

Children, as data subjects, have certain rights under the Data Protection Act, including a general right to be given access to personal data held about them by any data controller.  The presumption is that by the age of 12 a child has sufficient maturity to understand their rights and to make an access request themselves if they wish. A parent would normally be expected to make a request on a child’s behalf if the child is younger.

We accept two year old funding.

Funding for children attending 5 sessions a week is payable for 38 weeks. The Pre-School opens for 38 weeks of the year.

Children are entitled to a funded early education place for 3 hours per session – 5 sessions per week.

A child born between; Will be eligible for a funded place from;
1st April – 31st August The start of the autumn term following their 3rd birthday, until statutory school age.
1st Sept. – 31st Dec. The start of the spring term following their
3rd birthday, until statutory school age.
1st Jan – 31st March The start of the summer term following their 3rd birthday, until statutory school age.

For the purpose of determining eligibility for a funded place, the following dates will apply;

Spring Term 1st January to 31st March
Summer Term 1st April to 31st August
Autumn Term 1st September to 31st December
