About Us

The village hall and play area

We are a community Pre-School situated in the Village Centre, near the playing field with ample space for parking. We are registered with Ofsted, and are also a registered charity. In addition the Pre-School is a member of the Norfolk Early Years Support Network. The Pre-School is well established and is one of the largest in the area.

We have close links with the Primary school and its staff. Regular visits are made to the school and the reception class teacher. In March 2004 we received an excellent Ofsted report, with no points for action.

General Information

Our ratio of adults to children is a minimum of 1:4 for children under three and 1:8 for children under five.

We welcome children that are not yet potty trained.

We provide milk and a snack (biscuit and or fruit/raw vegetables) during every session. If your child does not drink milk, you can provide them with a drink in a named container. (No fizzy drinks please)

We follow the curriculum by having themes each week.

There is always a supply of fresh drinking water available for the children to drink at any time.

We encourage parents to help during the term. At the beginning of each term a rota is placed in the foyer. Please fill in a day convenient for you to come and help. Parents are welcome to come in for the whole morning, or just to help with the washing up at the end of the session. Your rota day is your opportunity to see your child in their Pre-School environment.

If you have any ideas or would like to take part in any crafts or activities, please let us know.

We encourage the children to wear our uniform, if possible. Not only is it smart but it makes us all part of the team. The following items are available to order;

Polo shirts - £5.00
Sweatshirts - £6.00
Legionnaires hats - £3.50
Zipped Fleeces - £12.00
